A Host Bus Adapter (HBA) is a hardware device that allows a computer or server to connect to a storage device or network through a high-speed data transfer interface. The HBA is responsible for managing data transfer between the computer and storage device, and it handles tasks such as protocol conversion, error detection and correction, and data buffering.<\/p>\n
When a server needs to access data stored on a storage device, it sends a request to the HBA.
